Development of a novel method for analyzing mineral composition in sewage
Research Abstract
In recent years, road collapse accidents caused by the aging of sewer pipes have been confirmed throughout Japan. However, due to the nature of sewer pipes as buried infrastructure, methods for predicting their deterioration are still in the development stage. The purpose of this research is to establish a method for analyzing cement-based minerals that they flow into the sewage, and to investigate whether deterioration prediction focusing on minerals is possible.
